Marchesi di Barolo (bottle only)

Italy. Maraia Barbera di Monferrato. showcases the youthful, approachable side of Nebbiolo, with notes of raspberry, violet, and vanilla over elegant tannins. Just north of the village of Barolo, the southeast-facing Sarmassa vineyard produces concentrated Nebbiolo grapes, which creates an intense and complex wine.
The nose is fresh and intense with clean scents of wild berries, currants and sour black cherry. A light hint of vanilla and toasted oak. The palate is warm and robust, full-bodied, pleasant and balanced.
